David M. Krol, MD, MPH, FAAP
Dr. David Krol, a pediatrician, is a Senior Program Officer for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. He is focused on developing health and health care leaders who will build and sustain a culture of health. He is passionate about improving the physical, mental, and social health and well-being of all infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.
A recognized leader in children’s oral health, Krol has served on many expert panels, advisory groups, and taskforces including the 2011 Institute of Medicine Committee on Improving Access to Oral Health Care for Vulnerable and Underserved Populations. He currently serves as the chair of the Section on Oral Health for the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Krol received a BA from the University of Toledo. Drafted by the Minnesota Twins, he played professional baseball for three years. Krol received his MD from Yale University School of Medicine and completed a residency in pediatrics at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, Cleveland. He received an MPH from the Mailman School of Public Health.
